SAM Well Test Continues to Prove Its AccuracyDay In and Day Out
Confidently and effectively use SAM well test data to reduce your costs on well test facilities. The SAM well test calculates the total gross production from the downhole card on every stroke. You can set the gauge off time, and SAM will keep a daily and 60-day history of barrels produced so that you know every day what your well is producing. Accuracy is further enhanced with the addition of pump intake pressure (PIP) calculations. The new feature allows you to use SAMs valve check in the well test to account for gas and leaking pumps.
Custody Transfer for Gas measurement Added to SAM
Custody transfer for gas measurement per API 21.1 is now part of the SAM rod pump control package. Designed to use a smart transmitter via SAMs RS 485 port option, this package supports the full 60-day audit trail. With this enhancement, a well that is produced with a rod pump and produces gas can have one controller handle both rod pumping and gas measurement, potentially saving you thousands of dollars by requiring only one controller and one radio system.
SAM Well Manager with VFDthe Ultimate in Beam Pump Control
With variable frequency drive (VFD) as part of its packaged system, the SAM Well Manager has become the ultimate in beam pump control. This improved system matches pumping speed to reservoir conditions, eliminating shut downs. Instead of traditional on/off cycling to match well performance, the system keeps the well pumped down by continually adjusting pump speedstroke by stroke. Horsepower from 7.5 to 150 are available to match your special requirements.
An added feature, rod-float mitigration, provides options for minimizing or eliminating rod float on wells that experience this phenomenon.
SAM Quick Dynamometer Joins the SAM Well Manager Family
No laptop is needed to operate the newest member of the SAM Well Manager familythe SAM Quick Dynamometer. A self-contained unit with its own LCD and keypad, the SAM Quick Dynamometer will provide surface dynagraphs in a few minutes. The system is designed for quick setup, and the user-friendly menu requires minimal training. Additional features include valve checks, pump leakage, inferred production and downhole cards. Utility software for downloading data to a computer for storage or additional analysis is also available.
Optimize and Monitor the Effectiveness of Your Water/CO2 Injections
Want to get more from water/CO2 injections? Our new injection well controller (IWC) technology gathers and reports data from your injection well operations, helping you protect your reservoir and track the effectiveness of your water injection.
Lufkins IWC conforms to ANSI 2530 standards for flow measurement and uses NIST 14 for mixture density calculations. The IWC operates on the Lufkin SAM Well Manager platform, reducing the number of spare parts to keep on hand, simplifying training, and giving you a convenient single source for both rod pump and injection well automation.
